Work experience:

Ms. Li joined Brightstone Lawyers in 2022. She has more than 18-year of legal services, particularly in the areas of PE investment, group restructuring, cross-border M&A, anti-trust, foreign investment (FDI and ODI), domestic and overseas IPO, corporate governance and compliance, etc. 

Prior to joining Brightstone Lawyers, Ms. Li was a partner in a leading law firm in China. 

Ms. Li has represented a variety of clients, including renowned investment banks, listed companies, state-owned companies and multinational companies, in many high-profile transactions in the fields of group restructuring, PE investment, M&A, domestic and overseas IPOs, and anti-trust, and she has acquired rich experiences in these fields. 

She is also proficient in the regulations and industry practice and trends of many sectors such as automotive, logistics, drug, energy (incl. solar and wind power), food, healthcare, and retail. Ms. Li, as the project lead, once provided full-scope legal services for an equity restructuring project involving three large domestic container terminal companies, including designing the transaction scheme, drafting and negotiating the transaction documents, assisting in anti-trust declaration and deal closing. The transaction amount was RMB 3.48 billion, and the project was awarded as one of 2017 Transaction of the Year issued by Chinese Business Law. 

In recent years, with the increase of cross-border investments by Chinese companies, Ms. Li has led the overseas legal team and provided a variety of domestic clients, including state-owned companies, listed companies and etc., with tailor-made legal services on their cross-border investment and M&A transactions, which were highly appreciated by the clients.

Education:

Ms. Li graduated from the East China University of Political Science & Law and obtained an LL.B.in international economic law and an LL.M. in civil and commercial law.

Membership:

  • She is a member of the Antimonopoly Research Committee of Shanghai Bar Association. 

  • She is also a member of the Competition Law Research Institution of Shanghai Law Society.
